Aloha, I’m Tiara
My name is Tiara Kobayashi-Bautista and I am a graphic designer based on Maui Hawai‘i. I graduated from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Program in May 2022. I am currently working from Maui.
I also own a small business where I sell accessories such as tote bags and pouches, graphic tees, and locally inspired stickers. All of my products are designed by me and celebrate Hawai‘i local culture.
The name KOBA is a combination of my two last names, Kobayashi and Bautista. The icon in my logo is a combination of my two family mon, or crest (pictured below), of my two Japanese families on my mom’s side.
